Dominnique Karetsos is a serial entrepreneur, venture general partner, and industry pioneer in sexual health and technology—a term she coined for what has since become a billion-dollar industry during its nascent, undefined days. For over a decade, Dominnique has been a driving force in establishing innovation, investment, and education as the foundational pillars of a thriving sexual health ecosystem. Her work has transformed healthy sexualities from merely an economy into a global movement advocating for change, inclusivity, and empowerment.
Her journey in sexual health began as the Founder and venture-backed CEO of Healthy Pleasure Group, where she launched groundbreaking global innovations at the intersection of sexual health and technology. She guided these ventures to expand their market share, maximise investment opportunities, and create meaningful, lasting impact.
With an extraordinary ability to identify emerging trends and anticipate market shifts, Dominnique co-founded the first and only investment fund dedicated to sexual health and women’s health technology businesses: Amboy Street Ventures in 2020. As General Partner for Fund I and Venture Partner for Fund II, she has overseen the fund’s growth from $20 million to a significant portfolio of investments, championing pioneering innovations in these critical sectors. Through her leadership, Dominnique is not only driving financial performance but also fostering societal permission and behavioural change in the realms of sexual and women’s health.
Education has always been a cornerstone of Dominnique’s mission, forming the third pillar alongside innovation and investment. As a clinical sexologist and sex educator, she empowers individuals to embrace their sexual agency and wellbeing, ensuring that knowledge and understanding are at the core of the movement she leads.
Her expertise is grounded in a robust and multidisciplinary educational foundation, with degrees in International Marketing and Management, Advanced Supply Chain Management, and a Master’s in Maritime and International Trade. This unique combination of formal education and hands-on experience has enabled her to partner with global brands and sexual health businesses, helping them uncover their true competitive advantage while expanding their market share and achieving impactful, sustainable growth.
Dominnique’s contributions extend beyond entrepreneurship and education. Fort three years, she has served as a UN Women Delegate for CSW65/67/68 and the Future of Innovation, a profound experience that deepened her understanding of global socio-political challenges. Through this role, she has contributed to critical conversations on innovation, gender equality, and systemic change, aligning her work with her unwavering north star: sexual justice.
A passionate advocate for sexual justice, Dominnique actively supports safe houses for sex-trafficked girls and women in Southern Africa. Through her foundation, Her 100—a subsidiary of Merchants of Light—she is dedicated to helping survivors reclaim their dignity and safety. The foundation provides secure housing, comprehensive healthcare, education, and essential resources, enabling these women and girls to heal from trauma and rebuild their lives with strength and confidence.
Further extending her commitment, Dominnique holds the role of Chief Impact Officer for the Blue Rose Foundation, where she continues to champion the rights and wellbeing of society’s most vulnerable and drive systemic change.
Dominnique’s influence resonates far beyond the boardroom.
